 I am sorry to report that the Cougars have folded for the 2008 season. Unfortunantly this does leave a hole in everybodies shedule but, fortunantly, it leaves exactly the same hole in everybodies schedule so no advantage is gained or lost due to the loss of the Cougars.
Now that we are here let's have a great 2008 season, because it looks like the MDFL competition this year is as good as it has been in a while, with several very good teams in both conferences!

I have been asked to share this with all of you. It was read by Pastor
Read at Ron Real's funeral
Ron Real
November 1, 1937 – June 10, 2008
“If you can’t move a mountain,
Move a grain of sand.
If you can’t reach a million people,
Touch a single hand.
You are just one human being,
So do the best you can.”
When my father first heard the words to this song, he knew that this was
the anthem that described his life.
It is not a popular song, and it is not sung by a popular artist. By
chance, he came across the woman who sings this song, selling her own CDs
at a flea market on the shore of Lido Beach where he lived in Florida. As
he walked past her booth, this song was playing over the speakers and Dad
stopped to listen.
As fate would have it, Dad found the words to describe his own life.

Today the Semi Pro Football world lost one of its living legends
with the passing of Ron Real Tuesday night at his home in Sarasota,
Florida of complications from cancer. Our hearts, thoughts and
prayers go out to his family at the loss of this great man. Ron was
truly one of a kind and added so much to all of our lives in the
American Football Association Family as well as the Real family.
The American Football Association was founded in 1980 by Ronald J.
Real under the name Minor Professional Football Association (MPFA).
Its main function initially was to conduct an annual post-season

The new President of the MDFL is Marvin March formerly a coach for the Arbutus Big Red.
He has had several decades of experience in semi-pro football and has been with the MDFL since the beginning.
Nothing else to report at this time.
